Value Delivered

During this project, which involved the construction of seven new buildings, we established a cooperative relationship with the local U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Our approach helped keep the USACE integral to the project, while moving our tasks forward for on-time, on-budget completion.

Our solutions helped enhance occupant comfort and productivity, by providing energy-efficient and cost-effective building systems control, and helping to reduce the risk of exposure to automotive and other exhaust fumes.

Client Objectives

Because the client was expanding and revitalizing a World War I Air Force base, they needed comprehensive HVAC solutions and installation of mechanical systems. The new buildings for this base included a welcome center, kitchen and mess hall, vehicle maintenance garage, general office, and firearm storage buildings.

Solutions

We were chosen for this project based on our extensive resources, technology expertise, and cooperative approach. Our solutions included prefabrication of all ductwork and installation of:

  • Chillers
  • Outside air handling units
  • Fan coil units
  • Fans to remove vehicle exhaust from the maintenance building and general exhaust from the kitchen and armory
  • Ductwork
  • Direct digital control system allowing facility management to monitor building performance and control environmental conditions from a laptop
