Mark develops the organization’s overall strategy and oversees its implementation by the company’s core businesses. His goal is to make Gowan/Garrett’s long-standing values -- quality workmanship, client orientation, and a “get it done” approach – part of every aspect of the company’s operations.
Mark was named to Gowan/Garrett's top post in 2005 after spending 20 years with Carrier Corporation. During that time, he held a succession of leadership positions, including national service center operations manager, industrial service supervisor, branch manager, and Gulf Coast area manager.
Mark holds an associate degree in air conditioning refrigeration from Texas State University at Waco and a Texas class “A” air conditioning contractor’s license.
He is also a health and welfare trustee for the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 211 and a member of the Mechanical Contractors Association board of directors.
A member of Tomball Baptist Church, Mark participates in the 4-H Blue Ribbon Support Program and the National Reining Cow Horse Association.
