Chief Executive Officer
Fred is responsible for Gowan/Garrett, Inc.’s financial operations. His expertise in reporting and analysis, systems development, and fiscal management and controls, helps to ensure our company’s financial stability.
Fred has served as Chief Financial Officer for Gowan/Garrett, Inc. since 2015. Prior to that, Fred managed operational accounting staff for four operating divisions as a Controller with PLH Group. He also served as Controller at KBR and Stewart & Stevenson.
A Certified Public Accountant, Fred received his bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas State Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), and the TXCPA Houston Chapter. He is also a member of the Construction Financial Management Association and Financial Executives International.
Outside of work, Fred enjoys spending time with his wife and their grandchild.
